Welcome to The Admirals Galley and Keg, a cherished gem nestled at 36 Queen St, Marystown, NL. This culinary haven seamlessly combines delicious food, friendly service, and breathtaking views of the sea. It’s not just a restaurant; it's an experience that truly embodies the warm hospitality of Newfoundland.

As I stepped inside, I was struck by the vibrant atmosphere. The sounds of laughter and clinking glasses resonated through the air. Although a little lively during a fundraising event, it added to the charm. There's a palpable excitement that comes from being part of a community celebration, and the ambiance certainly reflected that.

The menu boasts an impressive array of dishes. From burgers that are crafted fresh in-house, shining with flavor, to delightful sides like the exemplary fries praised by enthusiastic diners, each bite is a testament to quality. My heart was captured by the notion that every item is prepared with care, ensuring a memorable dining experience. A review by Holly Anthony encapsulated this perfectly: "Food and service were amazing!!" I couldn’t agree more.

It's not just the food that shines here; the staff truly elevate your dining experience. Friendly and knowledgeable, they cater to your needs with genuine care. For those with dietary restrictions, like Peggy Kelly, the team ensures that everyone feels welcome and accommodated. Her gluten intolerance posed no issue here, a sign of thoughtful preparation and consideration.

The views over the sea are stunning, enhancing the entire meal. The mesmerizing backdrop of the Newfoundland coastline provides a picturesque setting that complements the dining experience beautifully. As suraj noted, it’s the perfect spot to unwind with a delicious supper after a long day.

This establishment not only serves food but also creates memories. The nostalgic recount by Heinsy of his experience here, surrounded by new friends and Newfoundland’s warm hospitality, highlights the profound connections that food can foster.

In summary, The Admirals Galley and Keg is a culinary destination that deserves a top spot on your must-visit list. With its commitment to quality and service, coupled with captivating views, it truly stands out in Marystown. Whether you're indulging in a hearty burger or simply taking in the scenery, you'll leave with not just a full stomach but a happy heart.

Food was great, and our server was friendly and knowledgeable. I have a gluten intolerance and had no issues. It was a little too loud, but that may have been because I was there during a fundraising event.

A Truly fond memory of mine was traveling all over newfoundland, we stayed at Marystown Hotel and ate here one night, there was this beautiful dark haired girl at the bar. I went to a late night bar event that night and met her friends. A Incredible time! Nothing like newfoundland hospitality!

Since relocating to the Burin Peninsula we've been looking for dining out opportunities, today we discovered this gem that has been added to our list. Great atmosphere with friendly service combined with good food made for a dining experience we loved and think you will to. Birthday dinner consisting of the Admiral feast (pan fried scallops, shrimp and cod with fries) and pan fried cod with fries were excellent.

The last time we ate here was 5 years ago, and it was probably the worst meal we’ve ever eaten in a restaurant. Hearing that there was a new owner, we decided to try again and we were totally impressed!!!! Our food was excellent (the Admirals Burger and the Clubhouse were outstanding, and they have the best gravy I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time), and the service was very quick and attentive. Our server Katie was very knowledgeable and cheerful, and made sure to fill us in on all the upcoming events that the establishment has going on. We will definitely be back!!
